Ben Hoelting Ben Hoelting: Software Developer, Colorado Technology Consultants, Inc. Graduated from Colorado State University in 1997 with a BS in Computer Information Systems and a Minor in Computer Science. Been in the IT industry since 1996. Worked for the Gates Corporation (formally the Gates Rubber Company) from 2000 - 2005. Left Gates to pursue a consulting career. Currently works for Colorado Technology Consultants, Inc. in Colorado Springs. Most recent projects include a Windows forms Smart Client that requires offline support, an ASP.Net tracking system for the floral industry and Microsoft CRM 3.0 customizations using ASP.Net.
Brad M. McGehee Brad M. McGehee is a MCSE+I, MCSD, and MCT (former) with a Bachelors’ degree in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration. Currently the Director of DBA Education for Red Gate Software, Brad is an accomplished Microsoft SQL Server MVP with over 12 years’ SQL Server experience. Having founded the popular community site SQL-Server-Performance.Com, where he now acts as a forum moderator, Brad specializes in SQL Server Administration, Performance Tuning, and High Availability. He regularly consults with multiple clients, helping them to get the most out of SQL Server.
Brad is a frequent speaker at SQL PASS, SQL Connections, SQLTeach, Code Camps, SQL Server user groups, and other industry seminars, where he shares his 11 years’ cumulative knowledge.
A well-respected and trusted name in SQL Server literature, Brad is the author or co-author of more than 12 technical books and over 100 published articles. His most recent book (as a co-author) is Professional SQL Server 2005 Administration by Wrox Press. He has two new books being published by Simple-Talk Press in 2008, including “How to Become a Profiler Master” and “How to Become an Exceptional DBA.”
David Gollob David Gollob is a long time Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) veteran. He started at Microsoft in Dec ’96 as a Principal Consultant specializing in database architecture, particularly high volume OLTP systems. He came from Sybase (Colorado and Switzerland) and prior to that many years as an independent consultant helping customers architect mission critical database systems. Dave’s accomplishments in his past technical career included three patents in: Data Directory Services, High Volume Billing Processing, and Data Distribution Design approaches. Dave has had a highly decorated career at Microsoft; particularly in MCS (Rocky Mountain District and the Communications Sector). When not bolstering his technical passions; Dave savors his time with his kids. Outside family and work; Dave loves skiing, mountain biking, fly fishing, and oil painting.
Eric Johnson Eric is the co-founder of Consortio Services, the primary Database Technologies Consultant, and a Microsoft MVP in SQL Server. His background in Information Technology is diverse, ranging from operating systems and hardware to specialized applications and development. He has even done his fair share of work on networks. Since IT is really just a way to support business processes, he has also acquired his MBA. All in all, he has 10 years of experience with IT, a great amount of which has been working with Microsoft SQL Server. Eric has managed and designed databases of all shapes and sizes. He has delivered numerous SQL Server training classes and webcasts as well as presentations at national technology conferences. Most recently, he presented at TechMentor on SQL Server 2005 Replication, Reporting Services, and Integration Services. In addition, he is active in the local SQL Server Community, serving as the President of the Colorado Springs SQL Server Users Group.
Joe Lax Joe Lax is the President of DB Directions which provides its customers with stable, secure, effective, worry-free computer systems. DB Directions services include remote database administration, database architecture and design services, software development, and customized training. As the co-founder of the NYC Metro SQL Server User group, Joe is happy to share the solutions that he has found with others.
Josh Jones Joshua Jones is co-owner and Database\Operating Systems Consultant with Consortio Services in Colorado Springs, CO. There he provides training, administration, analysis, and design support for customers utilizing SQL Server 2000 and 2005. In his 7 years as an IT professional, he worked in multiple areas of Information Technology including Windows desktop support, Windows 2000 and 2003 server infrastructure design and support (AD, DNS, MS Exchange), telephony switch support, and network support. Josh has spoken at various PASS sponsored events about SQL Server topics such as 64-bit SQL Server Implementation, Reporting Services Administration, and Performance Tuning. He's been published in Redmond Magazine, Redmond Developer News, and Visual Studio magazine. He is currently co-authoring a data modeling book with Eric Johnson, available from Addison-Wesley, 1st half 2008.
Kevin Cox Kevin has over 30 years in the industry, mostly centered around database usage in applications. He works for the SQL Server Product Group in the Customer Advisory Team. Kevin is fortunate to be able to work on the largest SQL Server projects in the world.
Mike White Mike White is a co-author of the SQL Server 2005 Bible and the SQL Server 2008 Bible, focusing on Business Intelligence topics. He has been using SQL Server since version 4.2 and focused primarily on data warehousing and business intelligence since 2000. He has architected and implemented large warehousing and Analysis Services applications as well as non-traditional applications of BI Tools. Mike is a frequent speaker at Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) meetings and conferences, as well as the immediate past president of the Boulder, Colorado PASS Chapter. After many years in corporate IT, consulting, and web hosting development, Mike is currently working as a Data Architect for IntrinsiQ, LLC.
Pat Suppes Pat Suppes has worked with numerous data management systems for the past 20 or 30 years. During that time he as worked with several DBMS's, including IMS, DB2, Oracle, and, currently, SQL Server. Having helped to design, develop, and maintain data and applications through all phases of the SDLC, he is currently enjoying work on a project to enhance data encryption through all the TSYS iSolutions products and processes.

Russ Tuttle Russ Tuttle is a Senior Sales Consultant and has been with Quest for over six years. Russ specializes in Quest’s database tools for both Oracle and Sql Server. Russ has a strong background in OLTP and OLAP applications and has also helped with implementations and training engagements for Quest’s tools and solutions.
Steve Jones Steve Jones is a well-known SQL Server community leader and editor of the PASS Standard Magazine. He's a founder of SQLServerCentral.com and has been working with SQL Server since 1992.
Tom Norman Tom has been developing backend Sql Server code since 1998. His main goal during development is performance, scalability and reliability. His responsibility includes developing code for all database products at Tsys iSolutions using SSIS and other Sql Server objects. Tom and his team upgraded one of the Tsys iSolutions products to Sql Server 2005 which included seven servers in 2006 and just upgraded a second product at the end of March. His current project is using SSIS and Service Broker. Tom is also an active member of the Rocky Mountain Sql Server User Group in Denver.
Troy Ketsdever Troy Ketsdever is a software development principal with over 20 years of professional experience. He has developed retail software in the medical device, health information, human resources, and enterprise configuration management industries. Troy has been concentrating primarily on the database side of development for the past 12 years, and has worked with every version of MS SQL Server since 4.2. As the database specialist on development teams, Troy's overarching concern is "providing the right information to the right people at the right time".
